About the CHEWV Conference...

Since 1991, CHEWV has sponsored an annual conference to support and encourage home education in West Virginia. The purpose of this conference is to train and edify Christian home schooling families in their obedience to God's calling in their lives. From vendors and others who attend much larger state conferences, we have received unsolicited comments over the years on the excellence of many aspects of the CHEWV Conference.Our conference is unique in that it is small, which allows for a personal touch. Not only do you get to attend several sessions with a nationally-known speaker, but you also have a unique opportunity to meet and talk personally with the speaker. An interesting variety of workshops, geared toward everything from practical issues to spiritual principles and insights related to home education, also allows for engaging the workshop provider in conversation and questions.The heart of CHEWV's Board of Directors, as well as the many creative, energetic people who help behind the scenes, is to bring honor to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are truly thankful for the freedom that West Virginia families have to train up our children in God's eternal Word and prepare them academically all the way through high school to the glory of God.
